Certification and sustainable forest management
Kloek Pallets Kampen supplies wood from sustainably managed forests. Our products are FSC® and PEFC certified, guaranteeing that the wood meets strict environmental, social, and economic sustainability requirements.
These certifications guarantee the traceability of wood throughout the entire supply chain, from forest management to finished product. This provides certainty to customers who value sustainable and responsible wood use.
ISPM-15
For international transport, we supply wooden packaging that complies with the ISPM-15 standard. This standard requires that wooden packaging be heat-treated to eliminate harmful organisms, making it suitable for export worldwide.
We have our own drying and treatment rooms and are affiliated with the Stichting Markering Houten Verpakkingen (SMHV) (Foundation for Wooden Packaging Marking) under registration number NL-098. After treatment, pallets, crates, and other wooden packaging are provided with the official ISPM-15 mark, including country code and registration number.
Certified pallets that are repaired will be re-treated and re-marked after repair in accordance with the applicable ISPM-15 guidelines.
PPWR
The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is the new European regulation establishing the rules for packaging and packaging waste. This regulation applies to all packaging placed on the European market, regardless of the material used. The PPWR covers various themes, including recyclability, reuse, material use, minimizing packaging volume, permitted substances in packaging materials, and labeling and information requirements.
The regulation officially entered into force on February 11, 2025. On August 12, 2026, the majority of its provisions will become applicable. The remaining obligations will be introduced in phases over the following years.
As a supplier of wooden transport packaging, we believe it is important to keep our customers well-informed about compliance with European laws and regulations. Therefore, we have drawn up a PPWR Supplier Statement, in which we explain how our products align with the relevant provisions of the PPWR. Among other aspects, this document addresses material composition, the intended scope of application, recyclability and reusability, and the traceability of our packaging.
EUDR – Anti-Deforestation Legislation
The European Deforestation-Free Products Regulation (EUDR) applies to our wood products. This legislation aims to combat deforestation and forest degradation by setting requirements for the legality and origin of raw materials such as wood.
Kloek Pallets Kampen complies with the due diligence requirements of the EUDR. We guarantee the origin, legality, and traceability of the wood we use, ensuring our products demonstrably comply with applicable European regulations and contribute to responsible forest management.
